CCL: live certifying programmes and the dashboard that runs the academy
ccl.ma is the official site of CCL, a training academy in Marrakech, and the place where it sells and teaches its live certifying programmes. Learners pick a programme, see the seats left in the next session, enrol, pay and join their live classes from one dashboard. Behind it, CCL's team runs teaching, quotes, HR and finances in the same system.
I built it as full-stack developer at CCL, where I've worked since August 2025.
The client
CCL (Centre de Compétences et Leadership) is a training academy based in Marrakech. By its own account, it has trained professionals in person and at a distance since 2004. Its catalogue on ccl.ma lists certifying programmes, mastère (master's-level) programmes, MBAs and DBAs taught 100% online, run in dated sessions with a set number of seats, admissions, and certificates that employers check.
What they needed
CCL used to run its school on LearnWorlds and paid $254.15 a month, about $3,050 a year. Its live classes still ran through Zoom: LearnWorlds handles live sessions through Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Webex integrations, so every class meant a second tool, a second login, and recordings stored somewhere else. Each plan also caps monthly active learners and admin seats, while CCL has staff, teachers and programme managers who all need their own access.
A course platform also stops at the courses. CCL needed dated sessions with seats, admissions and admissibility letters, certificates employers can check, and a way to run the company itself: quotes, HR, and the money coming in and going out. It also wanted its students, recordings and documents on servers it controls.
What I built
Programme pages with sessions and seats
Each programme shows its price, the next session, the seats left in it and the admission requirements. An orientation test suggests a programme to people who aren't sure where to start.
Enrolment, payment and instalments
Learners enrol and pay online, in full or in two or three instalments, with a bigger discount for paying in full. They pay the rest later from their dashboard, by card or through an agency, and an AI check turns away uploaded files that aren't receipts before staff approve them.
Live classes without Zoom links
Classes run on LiveKit in the browser, inside ccl.ma. The page checks the student's enrolment before it hands out an access token, and every class comes back as a replay on the student's dashboard, next to their programmes, payments, documents and certificates.
Certificates anyone can verify
Anyone can check a CCL certificate on the public verification page with the code printed on it. That's what an employer needs when they want proof.
A pedagogy back office
Admins, staff, teachers and programme managers each get their own area to run programmes, cohorts, sessions and enrolments. During a live class they can mute or remove participants, start and download the recording, and follow the chat.
The company dashboard
Quotes, HR and employees, and finances run in the same system as the academy. Each new prospect is sent on WhatsApp to the manager of their programme, and each enrolment is linked to the ad campaign that brought it.
What it lets them do
Prospects go from finding a live programme to enrolling, paying and joining classes in one place, while staff run teaching, quotes, HR and finances from the same system.
CCL now runs its live programmes on its own platform instead of LearnWorlds plus Zoom. A learner goes from the programme page to enrolment, payment and the live class without leaving ccl.ma, and the recording comes back to the same dashboard. The team runs teaching, quotes, HR and finances from one system, with no per-learner or per-admin price list to outgrow. The trade-off is real: CCL now carries the servers and the upkeep that the subscription used to cover.
